Question How far should I lower?

Well here's my plan so far....
17" Enkei's RS7 Anthracite with 215/45R17 tires. $980.00

How far should I lower my Civic?
Do I really need coilovers?....Or are lowering springs OK.

I would go Coilovers, but I'm on a tight budget at the moment.
$ $

theirs springs, sleeved coilovers, and full coilovers. not sure which type of coilovers you are referring to. but im gonna assume full and investing into full coilovers is a wise choice unless your going with the spring/shock route. check out the suspension faq.

i have 17's 215/45/17 and i can drop it probably 1.7-1.8" with no problems. i had a rear camber kit too so i adjusted it so it sits a little negative so the rear wheels wont rub against fender.

if your on a low budget, just stick to lowering springs...
I prefer neuspeed but anything from eibach, h&r or tein are good.

ravolutionazx has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Bobo, sounds like a plan.. I was very close to buying the same Enkei RS7s but I saw them on a prelude near my work.. and to my disapointment looked like dark plastic rims.. I got these instead..http://www.veloxperformance.com/Imag...a8black500.gif

on coilovers.. make sure if you get em.. dont get trashy ones like Dropzone ..i made that mistake but now I have Ground Controls

If you worried about rubbing, go with the Tein S.tech or Neuspeed Sport. You can't go wrong with either. Currently we are offering the Neuspeeds on sale in the groupbuy forum. As for the coilovers, the OMNI setup will be the most affordable but if you are tight on funds, you will be happy with the springs for now. When it comes time to swap the shocks out, I recommend doing the full coilover setup. PM me if you have any questions.

i bought some Neuspeed Race springs from Peter at IAP (he posted up there ^^^ a couple posts ago...)...i'm rolling on 215/35/ZR18s with the Neuspeeds and stock shocks, and my rims are even with the bottom of the fenders...the ride is rough as hell, but it looks bada$$!...haha...if you don't mind a little bounciness, these springs are a great purchase!

oh yeah...the Neuspeeds are good for a 2.0" - 2.5" drop...
