Upper Mount Q

I have 03 civic, i understand i need 01 or 02 upper mounts in order to install my tein basic.

369032 Part 9 (BEARING, FR. SHOCK ABSORBER MOUNT) $13.98 X 2
369034 Part 10 (MOUNT, R. FR.) $23.45 X 1
369034 Part 11 (MOUNT, L. FR.) $23.45 X 1

My Q is, what about the rear? can i reuse my 03 mounts on the rear?

thx

the teins should come with rings that will allow it to fit on your 03. They started including that in all of their newer shocks for 01-04 awhile ago. Call tein and they can help out or send you the pieces to make them fit.

yeah, you have both the parts for the 01-02 and the parts for 03-04. So if you did not get both call tein and they will provide them

thx for the input guys. i bought this tein basic from my friend, so it does not incl whatever you guys mention above. It was bought a yr ago.

so, can i take aprt my stock rear and use those mounts?

also, how does the "NEW" tein work with the 01/02 14MM and 03 16MM?

basically you can just go to a junk yard and looked for a wreck 01-02 and take the upper mounts from it.. if not call tein and they might send it to you for free if you have proof of purchase.. then if that fails you can just buy it from tein

I ordered a set of Tein SS and I didn't get any upper mounts or anything. For the fronts or the rears. I don't want to reuse my old mounts from my 01, as I think they're worn. I just want to replace them.

What am I going to need to buy from Honda to install these?

Do I just need 9/10/11 from this picture? That's the front L/R mounts.

What do I need from the rear? Just 9? I'm not too sure ...

For the rear you don't need anything.

If you don't want to take apart your stock shocks, then I think you will need 9, 10, 11 and 13. Don't quote me on that.

You sure I don't need anything for the rear? I was looking at them the other night, and it looks like I'm going to need some kind of upper mount still. I'll have to go home and take pictures.

Call Tein tech support at 562-861-9161 and they will give you all the info you need. I could call them for you but it would probably be easier if you explained your situation directly to them.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

2001 HONDA CIVIC EX SEDAN SHOCKS/STRUTS & SPRINGS

APPLIES TO 2001 HONDA CIVIC EX SEDAN
I just called TEIN tech support and they said depending on your driving style highway, stop and go, improved or unimproved road driving, before you reach 100,000 mile the mounts should be replaced only if they look worn otherwise they are fine. I currently have on order the TEIN High Tech Springs so I was curious myself.. I will post pics once they arrive with a DIY on this since so many people are asking for it. The parts you would need to replace are as follows...

MOUNT, R. FR. - 369033 - $23.53 part
MOUNT, L. FR. - 369034 - $23.53 part
BASE, RR. SHOCK ABSORBER MOUNTING - $18.97 part # 369097
BASE, LR. SHOCK ABSORBER MOUNTING - $13.83 part # 369098

These are prices and part #'s from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/

Rubbers should also be checked prior to installation, check to see if cracked, dryrotted etc..
I hope this helps some of you.
