Attention TEIN users!

Winter is just around the corner in michigan and i realized i need more grip on the road this time of year, anywho i have giant negative rear camber and it is wearing my tires tread, so i was wondering if it would be safe to raise my TEIN SScoilovers about an inch, if i do this will it get rid of that stupid camber problem, oh yeah and i also have a spc camber kit for extra adjustment i know it will give me more wheel gap but i could care less in the winter anyway do you think a raise will make the tires sit flat on the ground again?

I would just correct the camber kit man. That way you dont have to raise and lower the car all the time because for 1: that is a lot of hassel, and 2: every time you raise and lower you car like that you are messing up your alignment on the car. I would adjust the camber kit myself. It sounds like your camber kit is not working like it should. How low is the car?

I didnt know we had other models. haha.

the reason i raise my car is cause the snow gets high here, and my car tends to become a plow, so i lift her up a few. that way i can have the clearance of an AWD car (minus the more important, AWD system)

IDQcivic should not be trusted
My tein's didnt rust all last winter... they should be fine... I don't know why you have such a negative camber in the back... you shouldn't be driving like that, you're gunna ruin your tires really fast. If you have the camber kit, just get it aligning at a good shop and you'll be good to go... I had mine dropped all last winter with the Tein SS and it was fine, just put back on my stock rims and show tires....

i have 18's so camber kit is hardly of any use i love the set up i must say but winter here is like driving a snow plow unless you have an suv. lowering on 18's = negative camber no matter what! thanks for the info yall!
