aight i am thinking about getting some tokicos and sportline springs, for a full replacement of the stock setup, will this install be relativly easy, i did some search and the tokicos have to be drilled to fit an 03 is this with a standar drill? I am in south florida and have been quoted like 200+ dollars just for the install. This fair? Or does anyone know of a place i can go to for a better price?

Only thing that i think i may need is a spring compressor to get the springs on the struts? i was thinking about simply replacing just the springs but i was was worried that without a spring compressor i would not beable to complete the install and thus have a car with no suspension on it......hard to do much of anything with that......

If your mecahnically inclined and have a good set of hand tools you can do it. Its not that hard of an install though can be time comsuming the first time. Make sure that you remember the location of the upper spring perch and upper mount before taking the strut assembly apart. This is whats called indexing, where you draw a vertical line down the side of the strut marking the parts for reference to make it easier to reassemble.

To do it right and not risk any harm to both you and your car, you'll need a spring compressor, tie rod separator(not the pickle fork style), floor jack, jack stands and a torque wrench.

If good at taking stuff apart and putting it back together again with the right tools I say go for it. If not 200 bucks isnt that bad of a deal assuming the person knows WTF theyre doing.. especially with our suspension.

I agree with Flotsamm. The install should not be so hard, although the first time you do it will always be the worst. Have you seen the mounting springs DIY from Mex; if not, here the link(http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=86545)

I thought Tokikos would be a perfect fit but I guess I was wrong. On some other thread I remember reading that you have to extend the knuckle bolt size to 2mm larger than what it is, and then it'd work fine, but the bad thing about extending is that this would void the warranty from tokico. I'm not entirely sure about this, I have to do more reasearch.
