Honda Factory Performace Kits
Honda Factory Performace Kits
Hi
I just bought a new Honda civic ex coupe in Magnesium. The ride is a little to soft for me and I want to lower it. I saw the Honda Factory Performance Kit and it looks pretty decent. Does anyone have any experience with this?? How is the ride quality??? I dont care for the body kit and wheels..I can get the strut/shock and springs for 650.00 and they dont void the warranty.
Thanks

for 650 you can get some Tokico Blues, Neuspeed Sports, Camber kit and have a little extra left over, those are the suspension setups ive done so far and the diffrence from the 04 ex suspension is huge
Okay so where can I get this set up?? hows the ride quality?? I drive on the expressway alot to work and stuff and around the city.. I am getting some 17 inch wheels also..not sure what yet..I dont want the ride to be super stiff but I want it to be firm and the handling and ride quality to be excellent.what concerns should I have about the struts and shocks going to the crapper?? and how long do these springs and stuts last for?? I am not going to race this thing at all.. I just came from a 03 VW jetta GLi that was in the shop 19 times....19 times...

on that setup ride quality is great, springs and struts/shocks should last you along time , just be careful over speed bumps and pothols and stuff like that, your biggest notice will be corning tho

Rule 1:
**** the warranty.
It doesn't do anything anyways.
It may fix squeeks and rattles, but when it comes to major problems, the dealer is just gonna say "we couldn't replicate the problem"... so just start replacing parts. The OEM suspension is **** anyways, you can do a lot better for not a whole lot of money.

dude, I differ with everyone, get the honda factory performance kit from honda...I always support stock OEM parts...You will save some $ too, don't **** away over a grand for a rough a$$ ride like you will get with aftermarket suspension kits! The honda kit is designed for your honda. Unless you spend 1,200 + on tein kit coilovers you will have a rough A$$ ride! Don't void your warranty man

One of the main things I regret, is not spending more money on a good "true" coilover kit. I've been looking at the B&G S3s but I haven't read any reviews on them yet. That HFP kit seems way over priced. Get Teins, B&Gs, Buddy Clubs, or some other true coilover. Read reviews of members on this site and pick the best ones in your price range. HFP is lame.
