This winter im buying what i need and so such for a sweet spring set up

anywho i dont wanna drop the car emensly.. but im wondering what can i do by just swapping springs out without ****in up the rest of the suspensiona nd such. someone told me i can go 2 inch without needing to do much other then the springs.

ebay sells cheap springs but are they any good?

also just for ***** and giggles.. what does air ride for our cars cost?

tells you how low certain springs drop and other important info. Rule number 1: You get what you pay for. And search for how much air ride cost. It will cost at least a grand for just the kit and then you have to pay to have it installed.

Well if you dont want to drop it that much, I say go with eibach sportlines or the eibach prokit. Now if you do drop it, you need to look into getting aftermarket shocks and a camber kit. The camber kit is basically to keep your alignment within specs. Sometimes when people lower there car, they cant always get there alignment back within specs. This will do just that. And it also saves you from buying tires frequently. Now the shocks will also make your ride alot better. Besides, stock shocks arent meant for lowering springs. They can blow at anytime.

Dont get springs that are cheap. If you are getting them off ebay, go for the major brands. Not some $1.00 springs. Like robbclark said, you get what you pay for.

The tein s tech drop about 1.4". Also form what I have been reading they will work fairly well with stock struts/shocks. Thats what I am looking into. Plus a spc camber kit.

For the most part I agreee BUT supposedly tein designed the S. tech to work with the stock shocks/struts. And if you DIY it should only cost you a few hours when you finally need to replace the stockers. Plus there are alot of members on this site using similar drops (eibach) that have not had any problems and have quite a few miles on stock struts/shocks.

I have been on stock shocks and goldline lowering springs for over a year 1/2 now

This is true. I installed Eibach Sportlines about a year ago and the stock shocks gradually became worse and worse. The ride essentially has gone to hell. Bounces all over the place. Good thing is that I'll be getting some Tokico's soon.

Regardless of the drop, they will still weaken. The tein s techs and prokits were designed for stock shocks, but that doesn't mean they won't become worse.

That is true. What I meant is you should be ok to roll on stock shock/struts for a while. Didn't mean they would stay in tip-top shape forever. I thought it was a given that after lowering you are gonna have to replace shocks/struts eventually! BUT if you got the $$ to do it all at once that would probably be easiest.

hm i say just save your money and do it all at once...even though it seems you have your mind set on aftermarket springs on stock shocks...if you blow your stock then you want to sell the car, take out all the aftermarket stuff u'll still have to buy some now struts from honda..but im not telling u what to do, well just think about it.

cheap now = way expensive later(buy aftermarket shocks then sell car and buy new oem shocks)
expensive now(buy aftermarket then put back stock when u want to sell) = cheap later

i've had my tein s-techs on my car for about 6000 miles.. for the most part, it still has the same feel it did back when i first put them on (although i wanna get at least some tokico blues). install took no more than 3 hours by 2 people that are fairly inexperienced at suspension work (me and my friend in a driveway with jack stands). a camber kit wouldn't hurt though..
