Go check your rear allignment
So I was under the back of my car all day today trying to find a strange clunk (its the spring perch I think) and I noticed something weird. My rear camber is set different for the left and right wheels. The right wheel is set with much more camber then the left. I am wondering if anyone else has this problem. My car is stock height on stock springs and stock shocks. If you look at the rear hub near where it meets the lower control arms you will see a pair of bolts with a large washer under them. The washer is eccentric and has marks on it to allow it to be adjusted accuratly. the hub has a corosponding set of markings. the My left wheel is set so the top mark on the hub lines up with the fourth marking on the washer, if you count starting at the back of the car. the right wheel is set at 3.5. because of the way this adjustment works, this gives more camber to the right side of the car. I am going to talk to my allignment guy tomorrow to find out what he did the last time it was in. I have only had these tires for about 1000 miles so I havent noticed any strange wear yet. Go check yours and see if it is wrong too. I want to know if honda screwed this up or if I should kick my allignment guy. besides, if its wrong on your car too you might want to get it fixed.

Um, my stock tires only lasted 20K miles. So maybe I have that problem. I had my alignment done recently at tires plus and they said it was pretty bad. I can post the spec sheet if it'll help you.

There is a stock camber adjuster but it doesn't allow for as much adjustment as lowered cars need. There is a reason why the passenger wheel is cambered more than the drivers side. When your fat *** gets in, it pushes down on the car and causes the drivers side to camber more, thus somewhat matching the passenger side. OEM specs assume for 1 driver most of the time so they set the cambers on the drivers side less.

i think the bolts your talking about adjusts the toe.
yeah stock camber kit cannot adjust camber so if something is messed up and caused your camber to change, its not something they can just adjust. chances are they probably just left it as is. Did you get an alignment sheet after the alignment?

no, the guy I have been using is an old family friend and he never bothers to give me a sheet. I am going to have someone measure it with me in it and see how close it is. Rob, do you set your car up with even camber in the rear or do you use the oem spec? If youve got some hotrod setting that works real well I would love to know what it is.

it depends what you want and what you are willing to sacrifice. If you are willing to sacrifice some tires then set the front pretty negative (between negative 1-1.5) and the rear negative (negative .75-1) make sure the front is more negative than the rear. 0 toe all around. you can always play around with the numbers.

thats interesting, so yours was set up like mine with the right less cambered then the left. Did you give them specs to set it too or were those the ones they recomended?

thecheat, do you road race with the car? If not set it to prefered stock settings and you will get the best tire wear. If you are running after market tires/different offset wheels then the only angle that should be altered from factory would be toe, and that would be minimal. But typicaly in MOSt ocassions you wont need to make adjustments out side of factory tolerances.
