Thinking about lowering car.
I'm thinking about getting the Tein basic coilovers and the spoon front and back upper strut bars. i was wondering if these mods would make a significant difference in handling. I really want to reduce the body roll in my 02 sedan. Thanks in advance.
P.S. what do u guys think of black 15 inch slip streams on a black sedan?

If you want to reduce body roll, you need to get anti-roll bars and what not. Getting the tein basics and front and rear strut bars are good, but you will still have body roll.
sounds like u like to autocross or just bust hard turns around the streets. i never had full coilovers on my car but im pretty sure those suspension mods will improve your handling and stability.
IMO, 15" slipstreams look too small. i would go with 16's but its all you.

16s will slow you down. For best performance get a 15X7. (black on black seems like theres too much black.... Just my opinion.)
as far as handling, what are you going for? Just street driving, Autocross? Track Days? each takes a bit different tuning.
if just for street and some sport driving (autocross/track days) the SS will be fine. Proper tuning of the shocks is a must to get the best performance out of them, and No this doesnt mean put them to full hard. (thats probably the worst thing you can do)
her's some tips on Shock tuning
Corner entry understeer = Front shocks are too soft in bump resistance.
Too much front toe-in; use a small amount of front toe-out.
Corner exit understeer = Rear shocks are too soft in bump.
Front shocks are too stiff in rebound.
Corner entry oversteer = Rear shocks are too soft in rebound.
Rear ride height is too high (too much rake) compared to front.
Corner exit oversteer = Rear shocks are too soft in rebound.
Too much rear toe-in or any rear toe-out.
and heres some tips on the effects of shock tuning
Increase rebound and bump rates = Ride harshness increases.
Increase rebound rates only = On bumps, tires may leave track surface.
Increase bump rates only = Body roll resisted; outside tire loaded too quickly; car won't stabilize into a turn.
Decrease rebound and bump rates = Ride harshness decreases; car may float over bumps.
Decrease rebound rates only = On bumps, tires follow track surface more effectively; car may continue to oscillate after bumps.
Decrease bump rates only = Body rolls quickly; car is slower to respond to turn-in.

Hey thanks for the reply guys. I plan on just street driving. I did a search and I'm probably going to go with the rear rsx sway bar first and then get the tein basics. And im now thinking about getting the circuit 8 or 10 in bronze (sticking with the 15 inchers).
I have one more question....should i just get the generic brand strut bars instead of the spoon ones? Is there a difference in rigidity of the bar itself? I know Spoon makes quality stuff, but if the generic strut bars (on tornactive) are just as good in terms of stiffness i might as well just get those.

ehhh the generic bars are not as ridge/stiff as the spoon bars. if u want a good strut brace go with the nuespeed one i acctually think its the best strut brace on the market.. i have one on my car and love it! as for a rear one go with the cusco one..
