Question Just a question before I buy...

I did read the FAQ, and did search, but I still have a few questions. I am thinking about getting the Eibach Pro-Kit. It's a very minor drop, but it still gives me some doubts. Do they really cause the OEM shocks/struts to wear out faster? Also, since it's only a minor drop (1 inch) will I need a camber kit, or will an alignment be fine? My last question is this, I don't have a kit, or an aftermarket exhaust, so I won't scrape, right? I know a lot of these questions have been covered in the FAQ but I just need some re-assurance.

Any drop will wear the shocks. I put them on my buddy's car then he took it to honda for an alignment, they said the shocks would still probably last quite a while.
Rumor has it that Honda logoed Prokit springs are the FP suspension, and I'm not convinced they're swapping out shocks with the springs when they do the FP kit. So I'd say your fine.
We used no camber kits and everything came out in spec. The only thing you need to do is get the toe re-adjusted.

I run the Eibach pro-kit on my vic. When I got my alignment after I let the springs settle, I needed no camber kit. You will not scrape, unless you take a bump really hard and bottom out. Other than that, the road would have to be really uneven for you to scrape. I've only scraped once, only because it was a higher than usual speed bump. It only hit the mid section when I came down from the front wheels. The shocks will wear out, like boilermaker said, but since the pro kit only drops a 1", you should be ok for a while. I've had mine on since dec and the shocks are fine.

Do you happen to know your specs when you went in for an alignment? toe/camber/caster?

After the springs have settled? Not of the top of my head, but I have a friend that works at tire kingdom. I could see if he could put my car on the rack on a slow day to see.

aahh its no big, I was just curious. trying to see some actual numbers from a pro-kit dropped car, that way I can decided if I want a camber kit or not. do you know if they were within factory spec? or close?

It comes back in factory spec. The only thing that changes is the toe because the car is lowered.
