non civic owner seeking advice
I actually have a ser spec-v,but a friend of mine has an 03' EX civic.(hope this is the right forum) I convinced him to go the suspension route cause i know how hard it is to get HP from N/A. Hes got an intake from my advice so far. Hes stopping there on peformance(its mainly for the noise actually)..Now for suspension im thinking he should go with custom alignment ..So I need to know which camber kit is best (whats the ideal setting for the front for street purpose... -1.5 camber and 0 toe??. second ..which rear sway bar?..Who makes the best..I like the price of th progress and believe that it should be enough for the rear. Any input from u guys is welcomed. ohh how about a strut bar, or lower tie bar..Which brand is good.Basically what will make the biggest change in handling but wont break the bank.. Coilovers will come later not now.

Well what is he going to use the car for? the 03's have a 16mm front sway and a 12mm rear sway. For those of us in Autox, the perferred setup would be to keep the 16mm front sway and to upgrade to the 19mm rsx or the 22mm progress bar. the 22mm bar will kick the end out a little more and comes with an integrated tie bar. If you aren't lowering and just want a custom alignment then -1.5 front, -1 rear and 0 toe around or 1/16 toe in rear-1/16 toe out front. This alignment will eat tires so have something with a high treadwear or go for slightly more mild specs. For strut bars, neuspeed front with cusco rear.
now these parts and specs are for a car that is going to be autoxing or road racing so you have to be willing to take those risks (ie tire loss, oversteer, etc). If you want a more mild setup, neuspeed front, cusco rear strut bars, rsx 19mm sway with generic tie, and -.75 to -1 front, -.75 to -1 rear and either slight toe in (1/16-1/8) or 0 toe.

have him do the rsx sway with a generic tie bar, might I recomend a megan racing one from robear racing. he will love a neuspeed front upper bar as well. I dont have a cusco rear upper bar but I have only heard good things about it so that should be good too. I think he can probably get all this stuff for less the $300 with shipping and the improvment in his car will be amazing. Is your friend a member? get him signed up here
