skunk2s on an 01 civic
skunk2s on an 01 civic
I am getting ready to put the skunk2 coilovers on my 01 EX. I heard some applications require cutting the actuall spring purch off the shock. Do i need to do this? I emailed skunk2 with no reply and searched around a bit, but found nothing. Please if any of you have done this install let me know. BTW i am going to use the factory shocks.
Thanks
Thanks
yup.. had to do it to mine... not sure if you can install without cutting it.
the ride is bouncy! takes awhile to get used to it... get some new shocks soon! im trying to save $$$ for mine. good luck!

i installed mine and i dont think you actually have to cut it if you get the springs set at the highest level, i did cut mine but then i was looking at it doesnt seem like it would have rubbed against anything. and yeah, civic+skunk2=blown shocks+bumpy ride. decided to go back to stock after having the skunk2's on there for about half a year and i take out my rear shocks and get covered in quite a bit of shock fluid.
