Blown shocks? HELP ASAP!

hey all i had some skunk2 coilovers on my car and am currently changing back to the stock springs. during the last few weeks of driving with the skunk2's i heard a clicking noise from the rear of the car but was never able to identify what it was. today i changed hte front springs, and moved onto the rear ones, well when i took one of the rear ones off there was some kind of grease/dirt on it, i figured that it was just from the road. then i tried pushing down on the shock, thing is that it didnt offer any resistance, also when i let go, it didnt come back on its own. did i blow the shock? also, wierd thing is that the front ones were the ones that always bottomed out (main reason im going back to stock) and they are still fine. also, if i did blow the rear shocks, would i be able to take the front shocks out of the strut assembly and put them on the back? i have 2 pairs of front strut assemblies.

d*mn... well im gonna try to cheat honda lol. ill put my stock springs back on and go there and say that i went over a big bump and after that the back of the car has seemed very bumpy. i already bought the front struts so i dont want to spend another 200$, which is a complete ripoff. although, the rear bumpstop is cut in half, and i dont have the stock dirt-shield thingy for the shock... well hopefully ill be able to get around that.

That doesnt make any sense. What you need to do is return those shocks back to honda. All you need is a good setup. you have the skunk 2 coilovers, now just get some konis to go with them. Will run you about $550 for a set. Or you can get full coilovers. Its your choice. The only reason you keep bottoming out is cause your stock shocks suck. Aftermarket ones will prevent that.

Just curious if you mess up your car from mods that you did than return it to stock and try to get honda to fix em under warranty isnt that FRAUD???? if caught isnt that pretty serious? or no?

so i took my second rear shock off, and when i turned it upside down i had a good cup+ of liquid spill all over me and my garage floor. it was oily so im guessing its not just rain water/dirt that collected inside my coilover sleeve. oh well, i ordered the rear shocks seeing as only on dealership in the entire state of illinois has the rear ones in stock, and they actually only have one left lol. should be here wed or thurs. thnx to all for your help.

because i needed to get front struts too, i gut the shiznit out of em for clearance with my coilovers, plus i want to get the car back to stock since im moving to chicago in a few months and the roads there would kill the car if i were lowered.

heh, if i had known teh 4 stock struts would cost me almost 600 i would have. oh well, might be trading in my civic sometime soon, not quite sure yet, depends on if i decide to get a job or not when college starts. oh well, first i gotta fix that damn clunking sound in the front left strut . thought it was all indexed correctly but guess i messed up a second time, since i took it out, checked it put it back in and its still there.
