Unhappy back spasms and bumpy roads

hey, where i live the roads are bumpy and riding in my civic ain't exaclty a benz ride, to say the least i've hit my head on the roof a few times driving normally (I'm about 6'). Is there anything you guys know of to soften the suspension a little? Possibly without loosing my handling on the turns??

Not really.

You could go with softer springs, But to maintain handling your going to have to Get some thick anti-roll bars.... wich can cause other problems.

What size wheels/tires are you running? a nice set of 15s will greatly smooth out the ride.

Yes, the ride on 15s is much more comfy... if you're on stock suspension that would be the easiest solution. If you're on aftermarket suspension, hopefully you're on some sleeved coilovers (Ground Controls) or something like Neuspeed Sport. Don't forget to get Koni or your head will keep hitting the roof.

I would try reclining the seat further back if you haven't already tried that.

15s are stock

hey, 15s are stock on the si (canada) or in the states i think its EX. So i guess just like "touring" tires will give the softest ride without doing anything to the suspension.

Of course 15s are stock... so you're saying you're on stock wheels? You never said you were or weren't, but were assuming not since this issue is common with people who run like 17s and 18s.

It doesn't matter what type of tire you have more than what size the tire would be.

So the real question is, what is your suspension & wheel/tire set-up?
