Tein or AirRide?
I'm trying to decide whether or not to keep the teins i have or go with airride. I want something that will be easy to slam the car when at shows and such, and one that will support the additional weight of the new ICE and the motor swap i am wanting to do, as well as offer a smooth ride. It still going to be a daily driver as well, and I don't like being able to feel every bump in the road as I do now with my OEM suspension still on. I haven't unpacked the TEINs yet, so I can still send them back and i guess i'd have to pay a restocking fee. I figured I'd ask you your input before I decided what to do.

u are mainly show, so i say air....but u have a daily driver. If you don't have a 2nd car to drive, i highly suggest sticking with the tein's.

Just stick with Tein fullcoilovers or try different fullcoilovers.
Airbags + Daily drive is not a good idea.
If you really want lower drop than Tein ss, Go with B&G fullcoilovers or even KW2.
Tein ss will NOT slam your car. You will have gap on front even with at lowest drop setting.

air ride will definetly wear out quick when daily driven, they are for cars that are pulled out of the garage for a show or the occasional cruise
go with the tein's........they are sooo nice

theres nothing wrong with air ride for daily driven. If done right the first time it will last just as long and theres almost nothing to maintain compared to hydralics. Just things here and there every few months for maintanance. Being one of the many members on here with air i dont have any problems and only see i maintance requirment in the future (2 O rings for my front cylinders like every 2 years). I drive my car every day and even drove it during the install process (added things every day while still driving to school) Old cars like Town and Country and Cadilacs come with factory air ride in the rear and those cars last forever.

ive been runing air bagz on my truck for a while now... i say if you looking for good/performance handling then stay away from air ride..
yea its a smooth ride and fun, but its not ment for handling. if you do decide to run air... dont go cheap youll end up paying for it in the long run, for example stay away from AIM-chasis tech parts if its a daily driver..... for a good air set up your talking some serious money, and if you like being able to maintain an allingment then forget air ride. make damn sure the shop doing the work knows exactly what there building.

damned, forgot i posted this...im waiting on the air ride technologies kit to be completed (contacted them, they said mid summer). i still have the teins, and still haven't installed them yet. also, i am not worried about handling, im not gonna race or anything. sure, im swapping the motor eventually, but not for speed purposes, for show purposes (RSX-S motor). i figured there'd be additional weight, for that, plus the system i will eventually have in place will add another 600-1000 lbs to the car, with everything in there. so i need something that will support the additional weight, not just factory specs. as for air ride and daily drivers being a no no... how is it a no-no? my boy has had air ride technologies system inplace on his s-10 truck for about 3 years, and hasn't had a single problem. he's eventually gonna not drive it once he gets it completed (about 75% done), but right now he drives it. he's waiting on his ostrich skin seats to get done, then the sys install will happen. body stuff is complete (paint, mods, integrated stuff, etc) then he has to finish the LS1 conversion under the hood.
