Perfromance Driving Thread?

any one think it would be a good Idea to start a Performance Driving thread?
some place to post what to do and more importantly what not to do in corners....?
possibly on How to approch corners and generally drive your car better?

Basically Im thinking of all the stuff that they dont teach you in Drivers ed.

Example, Break before the turn, Not durring. If you break durring the turn you'll have less traction for turning because you are useing it for breaking. = Understeer like crazy.
Or
Pulling the Hand break in a corner should be reserved for Dirt roads and Rally cars, not road race cars. It will make you go slower through the corner as well as greatly upset the balance of the car. = Less control for corner exit.
and some things on Driving techneques
Like Left foot breaking and where to use it.
We could also cover corner theroy, like wheres the best place to apex in a turn and what kind of Steering problems like Understeer and oversteer are and what to do when you encounter them.

Good Idea, Bad Idea or Indifference?

Very Good idea, but kinda hard to do in text format... we'd need a lot of pictures and diagrams and such...

Actually if someone could make videos in real life or on like gran turismo that would probably work the best.

Good idea but like Renamazazo said it will be tough to learn by text. You need to provide pix or possible video. Good luck!

Hey man sounds like a good idea. Maybe we (i.e. you write it, and i tell the higher ups about it ) can create an FAQ for it. There is a lot to be done! PM with any ideas I am always open. If you use AIM hit me up at robbclark1.
