i bought a generic rear upper from ebay but i noticed that fit isn't perfect..... there is a little bevel beside the struts that won't allow my strut bar to sit level...... i'm thinking of either cutting a notch in it or bending the plate that where the strut bar attaches to the strut tower....... any ideas?

i had that problem with the OBX bar and just used a dremel to grind away some of the metal. though it still doesn't rest perfectly flat, it serves its function. what little it has anyway, being that we don't even have towers in the rear...

This is pretty much my view on the RSTB...
The strut "towers" are also the trunk floor, which also happens to be the floorpan of the car. Its as stiff as the body of the car is.
It isn't going to do much of anything unless you can push the car sideways hard enough to cause the body to flex, and if you don't have a sway bar down below, it's not going to do much at all since the lower part of the suspension will give instead. In any case... if you want something thats gonna work... you're gonna need something with a large cross section, and big hardware. If you've got enough force to flex the body, you're damn sure gonna bend one of those wienie bars. That pretty much leaves Spoon or Cusco. Pick one.

The OBX bar isn't a weenie bar, It is quite thick and stiff. Granted it is not as stiff as the Cusco or Spoon, but I think it helps.

no OBX is not the generic ebay brand. OBX is pretty good company. Their parts are better than APC's but not as great as companies like Neuspeed, Greddy, Progress, partly because they make so many different products like pullies, exhausts, headers, strut bars, etc.

yea OBX is actually what i call a mediocre company... APC is jus crap...
OBX also likes to imitate other companies' products (for example their SS is the same as Revo SS, header same as DC Sports) and then they mass produce them (thus they are a little less quality) and sell wholesale to shops and sellers
