sway-bars

$250.00 for the rear
$199.00 for the front
$449.99 Total <----- Prices from Modacar.com

Suspension Techniques Speedtech Sway Bar System
any experience using these? I am very interested in these and want them very badly, I just don't want to fork over the almost $500 after tax for something thats does not have that much of an effect.....

What are you talking about they are huge?? our front stock sway bar at least 2001 and 2002 have a 1" front bar so that isn't really an upgrade. The rear is is about 24mm, which is kinda big, too big if you ask me.

haha you're right, i just didnt know how many mm were in an inch. it seemed pretty big a progress front and a ST rear might work out pretty nice, your handling might not feel right though (like it wont feel balanced like stock)

Haha its ok. 25.4mm = 1" just for a reference. I would just stick with the whole progress bar. Is the ST one adjustable is the question?

Stock is hardly balanced (Understeer sucks, but its safe for "Normal" drivers)

at any one time in a corner a car can be doing one of 3 things, It will be eithre Understeering, Nutural steering or oversteering. When your car does these things is determind by the springs and Anti-rollbars.

A stock setup, for most cars, will Understeer in Low and Mid speed corners and finaly (Maybe) be nutural in Higher speed corners. This is fine for the average driver (Yes, sadly 90% of us here are "AVERAGE") Understeer is safe, and keeps people from getting in to to much trouble. Sucks from a performance viewpoint though.

I looked into it and the ST bars have an adjustable lower tie brace, and adustable end links ....

on a side note tho, are those end links they are selling any good? There is no picture..will they fit our car? 20 bucks a piece doesn't sound that bad.

Some aftermarket ones are solid and some are not. Actually, a hollow bar is better. That's 'cause a hollow bar that has a larger diameter can be just as stiff (if not more so) than one that's solid with a smaller diameter. There's an optimal diameter for stiffness/weight ratio. Sway bars weigh a good amount, so hollow is preferable.

Hmm... They might. $20 a piece is very close to the price of my endlinks. I don't know if they come with hardware though? If they did, then that would be a very good deal.

go Grey try them out by using your researching fund for your custom end links. Since I think you have the most experience on our end links so far on the forum?
