Question wheel hop

Has anyone tried to use the lakewood traction bar for the older civics?

Any other attempts to reduce wheel hop?

Well first off... you got a pic of it?
If it attaches to the suspension like I think it would, then no, it's not gonna fit. The suspensions are totally different.

Get a strut bar.. it helps help a lot... Mugen has a set of struts with re-located steering points to help it, but no one on here has them (actually I've never seen anyone on any board with them), and I would think the X-brace or a lower front tie bar should help too.

Oh... and if you're rolling on stock tires... lose em. That's the fastest way to get rid of it.

The problem is that when the car is under acc. the motor moves too much. But we haven't had any luck finding new motor mounts. We did find a part for our 240 that looks like a shock that mounts on the motor and the top of the strut mount. I'm going to see if I can adapt it to my civic. I guess I will have to have custom mounts made

another part of your problem is this. Low profile tires. they suck, and I mean SUCK for drag launching. you want a relitivly tall tire with soft side walls for drag race. what you have is better suted for a Road coures or autocross (Though 18" are way to big and heavy for either).

also, try lowering the tire pressure a bit... it should help a bit... make sure you raise it back up though for daily driving cuz if you drive around with low pressure and hit a pothole you might bend your rim...
