I have a set of the 512's and I'm happy with them.
I ended up autocrossing with mine before I got my Azenis(For autocross). So for an autocross tire they are ok (good to learn on, not good to win with) they have predictable characteristics, they will squeal a bit before they let go and when they do its a smooth transition. I couldnt seem to get them to launch at any more then 3200 rpm's with out spinning Vs 4500 with the Azenis. this probably won't be a problem on the street.
On the street they are pretty good, I cant say much about wet traction (We dont get much rain out here in Las Vegas) but when its dry out they can be fun. like I said, they will squeal a bit before they lose traction, so youll know when to back off. Tread life is decent, I think its around 30,000 miles. Im not shure about that. Priceing here is about $120 U.S. each.
Falken did a much better job with the 512's Vs the 502's I'v had both and the difference in traction is night and day. (512>502)
of course the 512 dosnt really compair to the Azenis sports either.
