Suggested tire pressure
Hi, I'm kinda new around here. To all those who know a lot about tires, I need help. I want to know what's the suggested air pressure of a 205/45 17 tire? I put 29psi. on all four on a hot day, but normally I'd pump in about 30/31 psi.
Thanks in advance

I run my 205/40ZR17's at 32 on the nose and 30 rear, the higher pressure up front helps reduce tire rollover as I tend to take corners a little fast.

So I guess I'm ok at 31...I'll put 31 on the front tires and 30 on the rear ones...
The only thing that says something about tire pressure on my sidewall is the maximum amount, which is 40 psi.
Thanks guys..

The pressure listed on the tire is not the Recomended tire pressure, it is the max pressure that the tire is rated for.

Look in your door frame, the recomended tire pressure is listed there.
Tire pressure is based on the weight of the car. I believe that Honda recomends 30\30 I run a little more up front, as I love corners. When I use to autocross my street tires, I ran 45 on the front and 30 on the rear. not something I would recomend ever using on the street.
Check Here for more information.

If the door frame says 30 for a 15" tire, you can usually add 2-3 lbs for each size you go up... so for a 17, run 34-36 psi... I keep mine around 36 or 37 cuz if I make them too soft they start to follow the grooves in the road.
