Which tires should I get...?
I've got the 15" Honda rims, and the tires are the P185/65-HR15. I don't want to drive on Firestone's. I'm just wondering what tires people recommend, they have to be All-Season's by the way. I'm thinking about Yokohama Avid H4's but I'm just wondering if these are any good, or are there better one's out there for around the same price? (under $60 USD).

Tread wear rateing is the Value givien to compair how long tires will last in a controled enviornment. I.e. A 400 tread wear will last Longer then an 300 tread wear, but the 300 tread wear will most likely have better traction. Unfortunatly for us, you can not compair tread wear of tires between different companys. as in A Kumho tire rated at 300 may not be the same as a Falken tire of the same Tread wear. Each company submits there own base tire for compairison (Thank you US regulators.) IF you want a tire to last a long time get a Tire with a High tread wear rating. if you want good traction , get a tire with a Low Tread wear rating.
For an example, I have 2 sets of Wheels and tires, 1 I use Strictly for autocross, and they have a tread wear of 200 the other Is for the street, and they have a tread wear of 360. The race tires, have Gobs of traction, where the street tires are OK for racing, but Good for the street. I dont recomend getting Very high Tread wear rated tires, try to stay below 400 for street tires.
The tires I have,
Race, Falken Azenis Sports 205/50R15 rated 200 A A
Street, Falken Ziex 512 205/40ZR17 Rated 360 A A

I say H4 those are the ones I am going to get next when ever these Kumho 712's wear out. I would have got the h4 to begin with but they were sold out of them and had a sale on the 712 I am impressed with them just not up here in OR in the rain.

ooho I'm in the same spot.
I'm thinking Bridgestone RE950 - $284
Yokohama Avid H4 - $208
Yokohama Avid T4 - $204
or Dunlop SP Sport A2 - $240
all are high-performance all season tires...
bridgestone is the best, hands down... but look at the cost differences.
urgh.
The Dunlop is very close in terms of performance specs according to user survey and tirerack's own testing...
40 bucks in difference.
oooh. cuz i gotta get an alignment, so I really dont know what to get.
I know that any choice above will be better than the Firestone 690 we got right now...
I'm kinda torn between the RE950 or the SP Sport
$40 bucks difference.... not a lot, but when u compare say the H4 to the RE905... a clear $80 bucks diff.
