Wheel width too narrow?

Hey All,

so here's my problem... Last year I had 15x7s on a 205 55 R15 tire... Now those were TSW Imola rims and they were defected... So I got warranty on them and got the TSW Razors which are 15x6... I know that they will fit on my tires... but will I notice a noticeable loss in handling? I was told that it would not make a huge difference...

Any thoughts?

No.. it shouldn't make a difference in handling. The tire sidewall stiffness will have more of a factor in how well the car handles than the rim width. If they're the same tires and they were good, then they still should be.

Do you have the same tires on? They're probably too wide for the narrower rims & would cause the adverse handling.

205-55-15 should fit 6" wide wheels perfectly fine

Listen to all these people that are telling you that it won't make a huge difference.

Almost every tire manufacturer constructs their 205/55R15 tire to accept any rim width between 5.5 inch and 7.5 inch, so Boilermaker is right: It is up to the tire and they will feel about the same as they did before
