Style = 17

Comfort = 16

Comfort is also based on tire profile. A low profile tire will make you feel every bump and increases road noise. The biggest you could go on a 17 would be a 45 profile so if you want comfort and style, this is your only option. Oh, and depending on WHICH tire you choose depends also on comfort/road noise, etc.

That's a nice rim - I was gonna consider it in gunmetal but it's quite heavy.

A 45 series is still pretty good. Of course with style you give up some comfort but not much.

Will 45 rub though because my car is lowered with progress springs. 2 inch in the back and 1.8 inch in the front.

It may rub depending on your camber, you could always get a set of 205/45-17's and it will have a better chance of not rubbing. In my opinion I would go with 18", those would look very nice.

Go with the 17" with 205-40-17 or 215-45-17 we have them in stock if you want the wheels asap. Check out the site.

Personally I would go with 18's.. You dont really compromise ride unless you lower the car which is what affects ride more than tires...
But thats just my opinion and for the aesthetics the 18's look a whole lot better....VX-8's is a damn good choice.....

Those probably aren't going to be the world's greatest tires.
Good stuff would be Yokohama, Pirelli, Michelin, Bridgestone, BFG, etc...
Decient would be brands like Khumo or Falken

If you've never heard of it... it's probably not going to be great.
Most of those packages come with 205/40/17 which is kinda small for our odometer calibration

45 series sidewalls... You pick 205 or 215. 205 are a little smaller than stock 215's a little bigger... both are within 1% of stock.
I've got 215/45 Yok AVS ES100's on my car.... they were $97 each from Tire Rack... I absolutely love them. They're quiet, they're sticky (35mph turns at 70 ) and they drive in the rain like it's nothing. If you go for the 205/45... Parada Spec-2s are also available... but not in 215.
Pic of the tread is in my rides page. They're pretty inexpensive for good tires... its a W rated compound instead of a Y or Z... but you prolly won't be doing 130 in your Civic anyways... so who cares. I've heard nothing bad about them from anyone.

see thats another problem, our cars sit so high and if i get rims i dont know what 17's would look like without the car being lowered. i cant afford springs if i get rims and i think 18's would weigh too much so what should i do?
