The perfect setup for a sedan with 18s??

Hey guys I need some help...I'm a new member here and yes I have searched a bit so don't flame right away. My girlfriend owns a 2k1 civic 4 door, and I'm trying to help her out with a problem she is having with her 18's. She got the wheels a week ago in the same offset as my Prelude +48, which for me works fine...but for her causes massive rubbing. She isnt even lowered at all. After a bit of searching I found that +42 is a much better offset for Civics. Anyhow, what should I do? Sell these wheels and get new ones? My question to you is this....what offset do I need to safely lower her car 1.75 inches, what kind of camber problems will she have? Below is here current setup...and then what I want to get. Any feed back would be great!

Currently:

Stock suspension w/ Volk LE-37Ts 18x7.5 w/ 215/40/18 Pirelli P7000 tires +48 Offset

I figure sell the rims and get....

Koni Yellows and Ground Controls
Racing Hart C5 Evos 215/40/18 tires with a +42 offset

Will I need a camber kit?

Thanks guys!!!

its becuse the tires are 225s

get smaller tires, 205s seem to be working well for people

18's will generally rub in the rear of all 7th gen civics. What you need are wheel spacers, not to buy new rims.

I agree, find a set of wheel spacers (H&R makes them) and put those on. The LE-37's are too nice to sell!! A different tire size no wider than 215 should help too, with a 35 or 40 sidewall.

And yes you will need a camber kit if you lower it 1.75 inches

So the rubbing actually occurs in the rear?? *****! all this time I thought I was going to have to worry about the front wheels rubbing when I turn. Hmm... wondering if 18s are the way to go...
