Can I ride a Civic Sedan on 18"s???

I am buying rims for my 2003 Civic Sedan this week. I'm planning on getting 18's with 40 series yokos. Sites like tires.com and tire rack say this is cool but I just want to make sure there will be no rubbing or problems at all. Ya think I can drop it 1.75 too??? Been getting alot of mixed responses. Can anyone give me a definitive answer? Thanks.

Definatly no problem, some members here are on 19" with no rubbing. I would'nt go any wider than 215, then it may rub but other than that it should'nt be any trouble.

I have a civic sedan with a 1.75/1.5 drop with the neuspeed sports and 17's. there is more than an inch gap. As soon as I sell my current 17's i plan on getting some 18's right away, i was actually considering getting 19's but then there would defintely be rub. So i dont think you should have a problem...

I think a 1.75 drop would be a little much, but some people on here have 19's. I have 215/40/17 with a 1.5 drop and it looks great.
