wheel damage due to potholes.

One big crater, 45series tire, 16 inch wheel.

Is there reimbursement for damaged vehicle parts due to neglected roads?

How does this process go about happening?

wow, that's nuts. i have 215/45-R17s and i've hit some big *** potholes, never had a problem though. interesting. from what i've heard, you'll go through hell before you get any kind of reimbursement. i guess if the city isn't a bunch of dicks about it you could get lucky, but it's a long shot.

Heh on my main street there are about 20 or so pot holes that they try to fill every week or so and it never works. I actually got wrote a ticket because I swerved a pothole and went into another lane without my turn signal. After fighting that one in court, I won it but anyways. If theres no warning then they should reimburse you. Never had it happen to anyone that I know of though.

You need to check with your states DOT (Dept of Trans) to find out if they reimburse for road hazards (such as potholes). I know in MA, they DO NOT reimburse for property damage, they only reimburse for personal injury. It also depends on if you were on a state road or city road. States may not replace your wheels but some cities might..
This happened to me:

..only, Ibent 2 of mine, they've been since replaced via my insurance.

Good luck bro....my opinion of the states are they have to pay more attention to the road systems rather than lining their pockets...its cause for a revolution!

Cool

sometimes you can get d.o.t. to pay but very unlikely mite have to get ins. involved.
