20s on a civic are possible
Hey guys whats up? I recently went to this car show and I saw an RSX on some 20s. I had read on here before that the fender space and width on an RSX was the same as out civics. Well I know its not cuz I saw an RSX with 20s with the tires being 245-35 tires. Now thats some wide *** tires. I knew the guy that was driving and he has his own shop. It was Mike from CVT if anyone in Houston knows who that is. Well he said that they were working on a 7thgen to put Lambo doors and that they were also gonna put 20s on the 7thgen. He said in order to fit the 20s u have to switch out the 4 lug pattern to one from an RSX which he said fits perfectly. He said then u might have to cut out the fenders a little but nothing major. He said it will fit just fine but your car will be a lot slower. I guess if your going for show and not go thats cool. I have 19s now and was thinkin bout it but it seems like its a lot of money. He is gonna give me price on everything tomorrow.

the fenders on the rsx are much wider.. alot of people with rsx's use 225-40s for their 18s..
and ya not too difficult fitting 20s on a civic, another "major" problem is finding the right tires.. i think thinnest 20s there are is 225-40-20 or 235-35-20. i forgot, i checked last time tho, i just remembered you had to roll the fenders..

Ok there is no 20" rim that is 4x100 that you could just buy. And the only way it will work if they make the rim just for your civic like HRE wheels, but then you are going to spend like 5,000.

ya doing a 5 lug conversion is one way..
custom wheels is another
cheapest way is finding wheels with no lug pattern and drilling your own holes tho.. my friend bought 20" katana's and they didnt have any holes, he had to get the holes drilled himself.. you can always go the ghetto way and drill holes ontop of the 5-6 lug pattern

Damn, if you posted this at clubrsx they would all be screaming rice... And yes, we can tuck some pretty big wheels on the RSX without any modifications. There are several peeps running 8" wide wheels with 235 tires.
I just sold my 18's to get some 19's. I will either be running a 225/40/19 or a 235/35/19 tire.
