all season tire suggestions...

I don't need anything performance or anything, but my mom's willing to pay for a set of all-seasons when i get my nordic icetrac (winters) off.. she has driven my civic in the rain before and told me the firestones are absolute crap compared to the michelins on her sienna...

any suggestions on all seasons? don't need performance, but i'd like tires that have decent grip in all conditions, prefferably 120k km+ tire wear, relatively cheap, etc... was just browsing around canadian tire and looked at the Goodyear Allegras and Michelin Destiny's... anyone have them? Woud you reccomend them?

I would go for a set of Continental tires, the Tire Rack sells them and they are an excellent tire, BMW and Mercedes Benz uses them on a few of their cars and they perform very well.

Just replaced mine with Goodyear Aquatred 3 highly recommended, IMO, great ratings too. Check locally though you might be able to get it cheaper than Tire Rack, I know I did.

Good Luck,

RC

Michelins are the best! Pilots are more of a performance tire. I would go with a Michelin X One. It has the highest treadwear rating I've ever seen on a tire (700 I believe). I would take the Destinys over Goodyears anyday.

That all depend on who intalls the tires on your car. My brother has 98 civic lx and he purchased Michelin x radial dts tires from Sams and had no problem. I was also asking that if anyone tried the Goodyear Comfortred Assurance because I am thinking about buying these tires currently I have yokos avid h4 not h4s

I replaced my stock Firestones w. a pair of BFGoodrich Traction T/As before I sold my Civic, seemed to be a pretty decent all-season tire, price was right, grip isn't too bad. BFGoodrich, from what I've seen makes a pretty decent tire.

Contenintal ContiExtremeContact Sports tires http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....ExtremeContact

or.....

Bridgestone Turanza LS-V http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....l=Turanza+LS-Z

I have the Bridgestones on my car and love them. I use them for winter tires in shitty PA and they work great in all conditions and dont show any sign of wearing yet and they are about a season and a half old (9 months approx.). The Contenintals two of my friends have them and tose things ripe through the snow. i have driven both cars (94 celica gt and 2001 jetta 1.8t) and they seem to grip well.
