What do you think and will these fit

Hey guys I got a 2k2 civic si (cdn coupe model) and was wondering if these wheels will look good and will they fit ... I am looking for them in the 17"X7" ... the offset on these wheels are +40 ... will that fit properly without it sticking out ???

http://www.aewheel.com/wheels_detail.cfm?id=79 (rims I want on my 2k2 civic si (coupe model))

Thats the link .... please let me know

What scares me is that I had these on my '99 Accord LX ... and the offset was a +42mm and the rims at the front stuck out about 1/2 a centimeter. I had the 16"X7.5" ones. I dont want my rims on the Civic to do the same I want them nicely inside the wheel well.

A +40 offset should work fine, I have +42 on a 7" wide rim and it looks perfect.

They should fit with no problem. I'm hopefully gonna order my rims in the next few days (gonna try to get them for when I get home for spring break), and they're 17x7 with a 37mm offset. They'll be about 1/2" further out than the factory wheels (Si rims are 15x6 with a 38 mm offset, so the difference in stickout is basically 1/2 the width difference between the rims (+1mm if you wanna get picky). Which should be absolutely perfect.... they should be just inside the fenders which should make for a good look. Now all I gotta do is drop it......

I had a friend of mine who's car-related opinion is something I take seriously (anyone who can build a car and make it run 11's deserves to be listened to) talk some sense into me. He basically talked me out of very expensive rims for a couple of reasons... mostly, destroying them, them getting stolen and 16's being too small to look good, and the fact that you can still go fast on 17's and look better doing so. So I went back into my folder of photoshops and grabbed one of the first ones I ever did. A rim I fell in love with last fall, and bounced back and forth on it quite a few times, pondered if it would even fit at one point, and finally decided on it.... And it's only 15 lbs.

No they won't stick out. I have 17x7 also with 215/40/17 tires and it's nice and flush with the fenderwell.
