Ok...I looked at tire calc but this guy at the tire store said they wont fit...now I'm confused. What do you guys with 17's have? Also I'm putting Kuhmo Ecsta Supras on.

A 215/45-17 will fit definately, no problem. If you have an EX the 205/40 will be a little too small. Even with a decent drop the 215/45 should fit. I think the guy at the tire store better find a new job.

I have 205/40/17's on my LX coupe. They fit perfectly. Even 45's would be OK, you'd still need a drop.. I am not dropped yet, and as you can see thre is a huge gap..

People will say "205/40" too small or "205/45" too big... But when it comes down to it, practicality's the most important issue. And let me tell ya, 205/40 are not practical. I have memorized every pothole in the city to slow down so as to not curb the rims. Even Grey, who has 215/45/17 has bent his rims cus' the tires were too thin. So best to get 205/45 at least to be safer.

Grey bent his 2 weeks after I bent mine.. But you also need to consider where it is you drive. 17's in the city are urban areas = Not Practical.. If the roads are decent where you are, by all means go low pro.

Being that I'm moving to FL, I'm staying with the size I have, if not larger.
