What Rims/Tires???

Hey everyone, for my 18th birthday, my father said he will buy me some new rims and tires as long as they are moderately priced, which mean under $1000. On discounttire.com, they have Konig Type R 17" rims for $122 each. I am thinking I will go with those, but im not sure about the tires. Do you all think these rims would look good on my blue civic ex? Also, does anyone have any suggestions for tires that I can buy on discounttire.com for my wheels? Thanks!

I was hoping you all could help me decide. I live in Houston, if it matters, and I need tires that are not to expensive for all four, will last a while, and look good. They need to have good traction in wet weather too. Those crappy firestone that I have right now get very little traction.

What about a set of Kumho tires in 205/45-17? They are a decent tire for the money and should provide good traction.

Give me a call if you decide to get them. The R is a nice wheel to match the harder lines of the 7th gen
