Colored lines on Nitto Tires

Just a quick question. I am buying wheels from a guy in Illinois (17" konig traffik's with nitto 450's on them) I was just wondering if the lines on the wheels mean that they are still new or that they are really worn. Don't wana get screwed cuz these tires have the colors showing.

If you are talking about the lines in the tread that is normal, just about every tire has those.

Well the guy said "look they even still have the colored lines on them." Just wanted to make sure that it wasn't a bad thing. But he claims its a good thing

Yea they're normal I have the NItto 450s.
I did hear something abd about them, and something good about 555s on the 7thgen site.
But Im still running them crazy rich.

If the lines are still visible on the top part of the tread that contacts the road, then yes it would be a good thing because the tires have been hardly used. If they are in between the tread and not on top then that does'nt mean a thing because I have about 10,000 miles on mine and the lines are still there between the tread. The best way to find out how worn they are is to find out the tread depth of the tire. Have him take pics of the tread on all four tires to make sure they are worn evenly, if they have been used.
