I absolutely love my Bridgestone Potenzas. They're kinda expensive though. Almost $600 for 215/45/17 shipped. They're the best tires I've driven on except maybe my dad's Michelins.

I'm looking for new tires too. Wanna stay with the stock rims (cause up here in Canada the Si Coupes get the American Si rims), and although I know most p33ps don't like the FR690s, I didn't mind them. They handled great on dry, OK on wet, and passable on snow.
I want something in the same price category, $99/tire Canadian bucks, and I wanna stay with H rated. Found a few on eBay for cheap (and with 99 SiR rims) and the local |H| dealer quoted me the $99 for a new set of 690s.
Any suggestions? I'm stashing all my upgrade cash for under the hood modifications right now, so I'm not looking for the "Buy Spoon rims and Pirelli Z rated tires man!" recommendations. Just want new tires for the next year.
Thanks guys. And gals. Maybe I'll finally stop lurking and start posting

I recommend Bridgestone too... the Protenza are nice... if you want stock dimension they got some good ones.
I think the RE940 is a good replacement for stock firestones... cost about $70 each, so thats $280 for all 4 set.
www.tirerack.com they actually have pretty good deals compare to shops. just buy it and take it to a shop to install.
they have reviews of tires there too, from users... good rating system so you can compare the tire's spec.. everything from treadwear to hydro capability.

I got Michelins on my stock steelies since I couldn't afford rims (still cant) and these tires are stickey as hell. They stick just as good as most performancs tires that I have ridden on, better than some. The set was $400 US or so mounted and balanced, but good tires.

anyone put on Dunlop SP Sport A2s? I'm comparing the Bridgestone Potenza RE950s and these right now. And what kinda Michelins you got on clownprince?
And before I forget.... anyone ever get their tires either replaced completely free or subsidized for premature wear under their warranty? Firestone says we're supposed to get 60-70,000 kms off of these FR690s... and even if I only get a % that's still $$ back in my pocket.

I have a set of sumitomo's that I run during the summer(not sure what model number..but I could find out). They grip like hell, have a Z rating and just plain look cool. My tire place did tell me to make sure I absolutly did NOT use these tries in the snow. So if your looking for a year round tire I woudln't reccomend them. But for $99 a tire (thats 17inch..15's would be cheaper I'm sure) they cant be beat. In my opinion at least.

Don't overlook the Yokohama Avid T4, probably one of the best all season performance tires for the money. Here is a link to the Tire Rack survey where actual owners have voted the T4 fourth overall, even though it is one of the least expensive tires...LINK

Well, today I found some Potenza RE930s in a 195/60R15 configuration for a kickass price. I'm a little leery about going to a different tire size, although the tire calc says I'l have a 1% speedo error. Should I try to get a tire in my exact size in 950s? A little help please!
