Tire Hummmmmmmm

I was wondering if anyone has the same problem I have........ My TOYO Proxes FZ4's start making a loud humming sound at around 62 mph until around 78 mph. It makes my vic sound like a lifted chevy. I'm going to be buying new tires soon, so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what tires to get that don't make this sound

It's probably just the tread pattern that is making the noise, but I am just wondering, are they inflated to the correct psi?

Yeah they are, I always make it a point to check the pressure every other time I fill up my gas tank. Never know when you might run over something in the road.

Even if you dont buy your tires from Tire Rack or Discount Tire, you should use their websites for research. The Tire Rack site has feedback from people who have bought all the current tires available on the market right now (including a rating on how quiet they are!). It is a good way to get a larger number of opinions than a site like this (although I will tell you not to get Dunlop FM901's if you want a quiet tire )

Watch your camber very carefully. If the tires start wearing a certain way it won't matter if you get the camber fixed later.

I had FZ4s on my old civic, and they did the same thing to me, just getting extremely loud after a while. You might wanna check how much treadwear you have left on the tire, it might be time for some new ones.

I have the same tires in 215/45/17, and they were loud ever since I put them on, but only at higher speeds, like on the highway. Its like constant sorta loud humming noise almost. It sucks, and it is waaaaayyyyy worse now that I had my car lowered and it cause the tires to wear a bit unevenly and they were so frigin loud. I liked the quality of the tires, and they last well, but they are too loud

I was going to buy some Pirelli P7000 supersports until I read the reviews all over the net. EVERYBODY is saying that while it is a great tire, there is a large amount of noise, especially if you don't stay on top of pressure and rotation. They said that these are extremely high maintenance tires. I dont mind keeping up with tires, but I don't want to be checking up on them every fillup either.
