how do u tell if rims/wheels fits our car?

how do u tell if rims/wheels fits our car?

i guess its a noob question, but i know our 01 civic is 4 bolt pattern and wat else do we have to look at?

4x100 bolt pattern... offset of roughly about 40-45mm. but ya major thing to look for is 4x100 as most wheels are 40-45

so anything with 4x100 will fit with 4 bolt pattern?

I don't quite get this question so here goes....
There's also 4x108 and 4x114.3 You must make sure the wheels have a 4x100 pattern if you're going to put them on a Civic. Most of the multipattern wheels have 4x100 and one of the other 4 lug patterns (I don't think I've ever seen a 4x108/4x114.3 combo wheel).
Then you have to look into the offset. Like Vnlilman said... 40-45 is safe. You can stretch it out to 38 if you want and still be ok. Other than that... check the width... 7 1/2" seems to be the max that will fit. Anything more than that, you're heading into RWD rims.

yea i've notice theres couple other combo patterns, but as long as 4x100 4 bolt and 40-45 i'm good

Yeah, most wheels have 8 holes, meaning they'll fit any 4 bolt pattern (like our cars). The offset should be like VNil said, 40-45...
