Rim Leaking
I have some ADR 17" Sokudo rims, I bought them about 5 months ago from my friend,
he had them for about a year. Last week I found my left rear tire was flat. I went to a tire
shop to get the tire patched, to my surprise the guy told me that it wasn’t my tire that had
a hole in it, it was my rims, when I looked at the rim that was still wet from the water
there was three tiny holes that had bubbles coming from it. So I went home took my rim
off and put some cold weld that I bought from my local Kragen. I put a thin layer of it on
and left it on for about 24 hours. the next day I sprayed some water on it and did not see
any bubbles, happy I put the rim back on. Today I looked at my rear tire and saw it was
flat. The leak was getting slower now I only had to pump it once a week instead of once
every couple of days.
what should I do?
Anyway to repair it or should I pay $175 for that one new rim?
and is it safe to still be driving with that on bad rim?
any ideas?

go with whatever is cheapest (replacement or fixing). i'd get it done asap cuz constantly having to fill your tire up with air is cumbersome and you'll probably get some uneven tire wear on top of that. aim: ihkskim, maybe he can give you a wheel deal.
That happened to one of my rims, it was a manufacturing defect. The wheel had an air bubble in the casting so it made a small hole for the air to get out. I was able to replace the rim for free because they were new but in your case you may have to buy a new rim or else I don't think it will ever be sealed properly.
