ZIEX ZE-512 - 215/40/18 119.xx
Falken FK-451 - 215/40/18 125.xx
are they good/decent tires. alot better price than the 144.xx for yoko's but wondering about the quality

Reviews for Falken FK-451
Form your own opinion, although these should speak for the all Falken's minus the Azenis.

Ive had falkens form the start. never had anny problem with them, and they stuck great! I even did a quarter season of Autocross on them. I just got some Ziex 512's and they are eaven better then the last. And their cheep only $110 per wheel.

i think im going to go with the ziex they are cheap, not a race tire (its going on a civic it doesnt need to be for race) and has a better tread wear rating

i have the 512s as well... cheap, not the stickiest but i have a 30k mile warranty on them. i think falken offers a 50k mile warranty.. i would say 120 for these are real cheap

Just note that the falkens have that protective lip on the tire for rims. I usually like the idea of protecting my rim, but the new 512's from falken and 451's have that rim protector protrude out too much from the tire. It kinda makes the rim appear to sit inside the tire too much and just doesn't look clean and flush. The old ziex 502's had the rim protector too, but it didn't protrude out so much. I have to say the tire is greatly priced and rides well, but the appearance is below avg. I think I'm going with the paradas next time around or toyo fz4.

I have 451's in 215/45/17 and I have to say that I am pleased. I also have rims with 712's size 205/40/17 and the falkens kick the $hit out of them. Great in wet weather due to dual center lines and impressive dry weather grip. The only thing i dont like is when you hit gravel, you can hear the tire tossing up dirt and rocks into your fender well. I think they are a bit heavier than other tires so i am anxious to see how long they last. Brad
I have the 451's and think they are great tires. They have awesome grip in wet and dry. You can run through puddles and highway speed and they won't hydroplane. They have a decent turn in. The only downside it that they are noisy as hell.
