Discount Tire Direct
Discount Tire Direct
Well been looking for months now I am thinking what the hell lets get myself a good Christmas present. Well the shop I was going to buy through local went out of business today. So I went to the local shops and all they carry in rims I like are the Motegi MR7 but they are my 2nd choice because they are 24.5 each. So the only dealer that has the RS6 here is Les Schwab and they charge way too much for the RS6 like 150 a rim and they won't go down any so I am like whatever to those I told them I will take my business else where. So I am back to discount tire direct for 125 a rim and 108 each for the Yoko Avid H4's after all the other stuff 972.00.
Well then I called the local discount tire here and they want 150 for the RS6 rims and like 127 for the avid h4 because they have to charge freight to get them in, but same company.
So any good ideas on what to do? Would have liked to go local but no one is really giving me a good deal. So any experiences on discount tire direct? like good or bad?
Thanks would really appreciate your thoughts,
Nick

try the small wheel/tire shops.. or try tuner shops.. ya they'll try to rape you but most of the time you could work with them... this one place was asking 1350 for my 18s but i brought him down to 1250. tuner shops could usually get alot of wheels as well...

try to get them online.... Discount Tire is good service, iono about the prices though... But yeah check some online sites, they have some good deals sometimes...
Ok cool yeah the small tire shops in my town have mostly gone under and it sucks. May have to go to Portland this weekend and see what the tire shops up there have. But yeah keep the information coming this way

Well called Discount tire direct today and they will be out of the RS6 in a 17" till like end of January so I decided to go with Whalentire.com and went with just the Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 since they didn't have the Avid H4 in stock and they had no clue when they will get them in maybe some time in January. So thanks for everyone advice too bad every shop around here is just scamming everyone over hehe but I got my rims for 895 so can't complain. Better then the 1,108 that Americas Tire wanted since they charged freight to get everything in

You could always buy them from one and have them mounted at your local discount tire co. They have GREAT service, won't rip you off, can get you a cheaper price than anyone. And they make sure they do it right the first time.
