Ventus tires- good or bad?

Are Ventus HR II tires any good? cbwheels has the tenzo/ventus wheel package with free shipping. I'm kinda skeptical of free sh*t.

I haven't heard much about these tires. I know they are made by Hankook, whci h I believe is a Korean manu.

From a pricing stand-point, they're your cheaper tire as far as performance goes.

I've heard they suck, from about 2 people... You can't go wrong with Kumho, ask cbwheels for those....

They are made by Hankook, so they are one of the "standard tires" that come w/ rims, just like Kumho's, becuase they are cheap. As far as performance, they are alright i suppose. I'd call the place that sells the rims, and ask them if they would knock some digits off the price w/o the tires. Nothing is toally free. Then do some research and get some better tires for a good price.

I have the Ventus tires and they have really good tread life, since they are H rated. They aren't too noisy but I believe to be a very hard compound. They tend to follow grooves on the roads. They have never sleeped on me once in the rain yet, and i recently drove in the rain at about 18,000 miles on them. No problems, except a little camber wear, but that's my problem, and not the tires. Overall, a great economic tire that will give those kumho 711 or 712 some competition.

ya kumho is the better tire out of the two for the price. a bonus with the ventus is that if u live by pepboys, they carry ventus now, so if you need a new tire, u dont have to order it from somewhere, u can run down to pep boys and pick one up.
