how long they last depending on how you drive.
you drive like an OLD Lady w/ those tires on, which 20mph on 40mph speed limit, then it will last a while
you drive like a street racer w/ those tires on, then it wont last long.
I used my stock tire for burn out use, although havent try it yet, and drag race use.

Hmmm...how much tread do you have?....If one drives "normally", i'd say someone could squeeze 45,000 miles out of those...no burnouts, no peelouts, slighlty conservative driving...... I'd say that yours are pretty close to being shot...im guessing you're low on tread, dangerous w/ these tires. Arghhh, splurge and get ya some new ones!...Potenza RE910 won't let you down!

so if i wanted to replace my stockies id get those?
any other reccomandations i should get for replacing stock steelies?

Yeah, to replace stock tires, I'd look at Bridgestone Potenza RE910's...i believe the RE92 is a little less money. Michlin Pilots (XGT H4) are good too.....I would also include Dunlop SP sport A2 in the search....i'm really not a goodyear or bfgoodrich fan. Oh, and there are some pirelli's worth looking at...depends on the level of performance, the P3000 are great all season and P4000 are excellent for a bit more performance, but with sacrificed treadlife. Lemme know how it goes!
I just got some Yokohama Avid Touring (185/70/14) tires as replacements for the slip-sliding Firestone FR690 oem tires. The treadlife is 80,000 miles, the wet traction is really good, and the price is right ($39 per tire at TireRack.com). Of course if you're looking for something a little more performance oriented then go with the other suggestions in this thread. I considered the Dunlop A2 Sport (or whatever it's called) but they didn't have the right size for my stock wheels. Check out the reviews on TireRack.com and have fun shopping!
...too many peel-outs to count?
You might want to look down by the wheel-well and find out if you have any tread left!
Normally 40,000 isn't unreasonable, but each peel out has to equal a few hundred miles, I dunno.
Let me ask you: How many peel out do you get from a set of tires?
The best question is: how long will your clutch last?
The real answer according to CA law is: your tires last until 1/8 inch tread (I think), then they aren't legal.

The best performance tire that's out is the Bridgestone S-03 Pole Piston. Kumho Ecsta Supras are the most popular and are good. If you're willing to spend a lot of money on a performance tire, the Toyo T1S performance is at the peak and benefits on being a VERY light tire... but the tires are $300 each. Stock tires are dangerous if you want or need to go fast and you have to turn. Fairly good for normal driving conditions, but I wouldn't think of using such a POS tire for my driving ways. The treadwear sucks and the traction sucks. It's all season but there's a lot better. Think about it... for the price you buy your new car, they are going to use a tire that suits the value of the car and Honda as well as any other car company will use the cheapest tire to save $. The Acura Integra Type R came stock with Bridgestone Potenzas which literally stuck to the ground to suit the ITR's superior handling, but the tires don't last! It was merely a 23k-24k dollar car.

haha. well actually not really burn outs. i have auto and i breaktorque. i know its bad for the torque convertor. shrug. anyways. yeah im really scared driving in my car. i have like no money to spend. i just want some decent tires to last me until i can afford some sexy 18s on my car. i have 14 in steelies btw
Yokohama Avid Touring (185/70/14) hmm those sound decent. yokohama makes quality tires. thanks for all the suggestions.
anything else?

Mine lasted 31K. I started losing traction in the rain. I drive lots of highway in a stock 2001 ex 4dr. I replaced them with Dunlop SP Sport A2 185/65/15s. What a difference!
It turns out I still had about half the tread left on the Firestones. The Dunlops have lots of grip and handle great in the rain and light snow.
