weird smell, please help

weird smell, please help

every time i get out of the car, after driving for alittle while
it smells like burning rubber by my front tires, any ideas ??
i have 17" rims w/ 205/40/17 tires, the car is not dropped
everthing is stock.

If it's just the fronts could it be the brake pads? That seems like it would make sense to smell the pads in the front but not the back. I dunno. Are you driving it hard enough to squeal the tires around turns or just plain old driving. What about slamming on the brakes or just using them lightly. I would look at the pads and see if theres something up. If your cars not dropped, I doubt that you're rubbing the tires.
