Winter tire choice - Frustration over sizes...

Hey

Well, I spent an hour at stupid costco today, trying to make the guy understand that I want 195/65/15's for my stock 15x6" rims.

He kept on asking me "What tires are on your car now?", and I said "It doesn't matter...they aren't the same rims". And then he kept on saying I couldn't go with a 195, unless its specifically written on the inside of my door. WTF?!

I started to doubt myself...will 195's fit on a 15x6" rim? they're the stock black ones, but the guy was being retarded, so I told him they weren't

Basically, I have the LX "sport" with the 5 spokes, but I ALSO got the black rims free when I bought my car (15X6)...so I want to put some michelin pilot alpin's on the blackies.

The smallest size the pilot alpins come in is 195/65/15. Can anyone tell me if the 195's will fit?

Thanks!

Cheers

Sure... My brother has 205's on 15x6 rims. Theres no reason they won't fit... The guy was an idiot. Just be aware your speedo is gonna be a little bit off. If you're cool with that, then you shouldn't have any problems at all. Think of it this way.... its 10 more mm which puts less than 1/4" extra rubber on each side of the rim. Do you really think that's gonna make a difference. NO! You're fine, put em on.
