Tire pressure Question

What pressure should I keep my tires inflated to. I have 205 45 17's. Right now they are at 42 PSI.

ya i keep mine around 42 as well.. whether its good or not i have no idea... i think grey knows this better then i. and my max tire pressure on my car is like 52 so 42 is safe. and the one on the door panel is for our stock tires, not 17s

[hr]Changing the tire size or going to a plus-size fitment will change the required inflation pressure somewhat. Within the range of optional OE tire sizes, the vehicle manufacturer's recommendations should be followed. For sizes outside the range, the tire manufacturer should be able to help. Yokohama, for instance, includes pressure recommendations for stock and plus-sizes, by vehicle, in its annual Fitment Guide, which your tire dealer should have a copy of. Typically, these are 0-3 psi higher for a Plus-one or Plus-two fitment. Also listed are maximum load ratings at maximum inflation pressure for each size of each tire Yokohama makes.[hr]
If stock is 30psi and it's 0-3psi increase for a plus one or plus two size, then for a 17" wheel it should be something like 33psi up front and 31psi in the back. Something like that. Remember that more up front is better since there's more weight there. About 2psi more is allright. I'm still tweaking my tire pressure. I have 34psi in the front and 32psi in the rear.
