Nail In Tire - What to do?
Well, I pretty much know the answer to this question. I basically want to know how much it costs to get it repaired? I hear $10. Is this true?

hmm, when my friend got a nail stuck in his civic, discount tire patched it for free, but it was stock tire, so iono.... good luck, just dont pull out the nail..
just don't use fix-a-flat. i hear that's the last thing you should do, next to pulling out the nail while driving
if you have a protection plan from a tire dealer like discount tire, they'll cover road hazards

On speed rated tires, as long as it's inside the tread pattern (not in the sidewall) it can be fixed, and $10 sounds about right, if you don't have some kind of warranty plan on your tires.

The nail is right on the tippy top of the tread pattern. Actually, I think it's a screw. I'm going to get it fixed anytime now. Check out my baby, it's sportin' a donut.

Hehe, yeah baby! Imagine all four wheels like that!
I fixed it! Cost me $15. They scratched my rim though! At least I think they did? I can't remember if that scratch was there or not. Damn it! They plugged up the hole and they mentioned something about using heat? I tested it out by going for a little ride and everything seems okay. Hopefully it holds up and doesn't leak. I will be testing my tire pressure more often for a while before I can be sure that everything is as it should be.

Good to hear you got it fixed Grey. If you had an America's Tire company or a discount tire around you, I think they would've done it for free, even if you didn't buy anything from them, it's in their policy.

You're welcome.
yep, you could've plugged it yourself for about 3-5 dollars, a little more if you'd have gotten the kit for big trucks (bigger plug) , and about 5 mins then you're all set. also, if there's a kaughman ( i think thats how its spelled) tire, they would've done it for free.
so I have question also,
I scratched the side wall of the tire, 2mm deep, 3cm long...Air is not comming out and I still drive it as normal.
But is there some kind of glue I can use (DIY) to seal the scratch? because I am affraide with weather change the scratch will become bigger and deeper and air will eventually come out.

Look at the inside of that "scratch". I'de call it a gouge. Anyway, if you see fibers or steel bands, then that's not good. If they're not cut then you're okay. If they're cut then that's not good. Bye bye tire. If they're not cut though, then you can ride on it all day long and it should hold up. I would seal it though just to be safe; just like you want to do.
Several layers of rubber cement will work. That's pretty much the best thing for it. If there's a sort of heavy-duty rubber cement, then I'de buy that. Although maybe go to a store like NAPA and ask them if they have anything specifically for the job.
