If you can afford 19s go for it! If not, 18s are sweet too. Anything smaller than 18" is just too small!
The difference between a 215/40 series 18" and a 225/35 series 19" is only about 3.5mm of sidewall.
Not really a difference when comparing ride quality or rim protection

I personally went with 18's with a 40 series tire. I dont care for the 35 series look,,too thin, plus to me it looks like the rim could be damaged.

If you want to justify 18's or 19's....what comes on the Bimmer's? Corvette? I never hear of anyone complaining about bending rims on them,, maybe im not listening though....???

I love my new wheels...ill post pics as soon as I take them. I dont think they dont ride any rougher than the stock wheels (I drove my girlfriends ex coupe right after mine..feels the same..). I do think 18 is the absolute perfect size for this car..But,,I have never seen 19's in person. I think my car needs to be dropped about 1/2 to 1"..no more...

Well, good job. You should have keep the same tire size from the factory. 17 in tires on a 7th gen is the same as a 16 in tire on a 6 gen and 15 in on a 5 gen. The tire size continue to grows. The stock tire size on my third gen civic would have 35 profile tires if I wanted to use my 16 Rota SS on them.

I wish I could log out and log in as my screename. I guess I could stay on my girl friend's sn.

18s more practical but 19's are better if you want a more "show" look

I really was considering 18's for my ride but steered clear of it after a chat with some buddies at a wheel shop. If you're a daily driver, 17's are as far as you should really go. I believe the stock tire size match if you had a 17 is 205/45/17. The farther away you stray from the stock dimensions the more your car will sound like an old integra when you're on the freeway
