Hey guys and gals, check these out: Lightweight forged FWD wheels
I got the weight specs from the July SCC and they apply to the RPM wheel.

It doesn't stay the same. It ends up being a little smaller or a little bigger. It roughly stays the same would be a accurate statement.
Weight is the biggest factor in wheel choice, grass roots motorsports did a test with race rubber and 15, 16 and 17" rims, the car handled better as each size increased but their was a noticable lack in acceleration with the increased weight. Unsprung weight is a huge factor in acceleration, handling and braking. goes way back to physics. an object in motion resists change in motion as does an object at rest. The greater the mass, the greater resistance to change. Enough of my blathering, get lightweight 17" rims and kick some corner .

Even if you have light-weight 17s, you are still putting a heavy 17" tire. People seem to only think about the weight of the rim when the tire is almost equally important.
