I have seen it, it looks all right hella better than the 205/40/17 by far. I am getting 215/45/17 here soon probably after the summer.

I just wanted to make sure they would not rub when I got them on the car. I have a 1.75 drop in the front and a 1.5 in the rear.

Thanks.

I have'em but I'm at stock height. Fit better than 205/40/17s on stock height cars - fill out the wheelwells much better.

I like how the fill up the wheel well. I am assuming there is no rubbing or anything?

Does anybody have these on a lowered car?

Thanks.

I think I may go with 225/45/17 now might as well you know. Get a little more tred and more cushion, plus I don't plan on lowering my ride so I think I will be all right I will have to talk to discount again and see what they say about it. I may be mistaken but I remember him saying I could go up to 235/45/17 so

Those are some HUGE tires... you might wanna check out the Tire Calc... your speedometers gonna be way off and i think it would look whack... too big

Yeah I have checked it on the tire calc it would be 2.06 too slow which would actually lose some mileage plus the roads when I move back home aren't the best so I may be wishing I had more tire versus the 215/45 that could be problems with rim bending in potholes and so on so I am going to have to get more quotes on how much more per new tires every few mths how much more they will cost me in the long run. I know it will be more but I wanna know how much ?

Yeah, I too checked the tire calc. But, I wanted something that will give me more cushion and I park parallel a lot on campus. That way, it will give me room for error and not screw up my lip. Plus, having it too slow will help me anyway because I do a lot of driving. So, having a wider tire will help. When I went to the Discount tire, they said it would be too big and would rub. He told me that because I was going to have it dropped. I already have 2 tires from a friend and could get different size tires in the front.

Does nobody have these on a lowered car?

Just curious did he say anything about if you have 225/45/17 and you didn't plan on dropping it would you be all right? It should I was just wondering. Yeah I emailed streetrendz and there wasn't really much of a price difference between the 2 tires and by far his prices have blown discount out of the water, so I have a definate other supplier I have found to compete with.

I am guessing you are in Canada then. I will email them tonight and see how much they want for them shipped to the States.

I asked him for a quote and it was steep. I understand that he is in Canada and shipping probably made a big difference. I am going to go to the local Discount and see what they can do. They have Kumho 205/40/17 for $299 + shipping. I was going to get 215/45/17 or 225/45/17, but I wanted something around that price. Tire Rack sells 215/45/17 for $89 a tire. So, I will see what Discount can do.

I just got back from Discount and they gave me a sweet deal. I ended up getting Kumho 712 215/45/17 because of the drop. He gave me a sweet deal of $448 and some change mounted, balanced, and road hazard. He said he could do the 225/45/17 for $460 with the same stuff. So, I am happy I went to Discount today. All you have to do is keep talking to the guy and tell them Tire Rack sells them for cheap and etc... Eventually you will get the deal, but no promises.

I went ahead and got the 215/45/17 because I bought used wheels off a guy and he had 205/40/17 on them. I was such a good deal, I went ahead and got it done. But, he said if I was not going to get it dropped I should get 225/45/17 because it will fill more of the wheel well.

Ok sweet, so how is the ride verus the 205/45? Notice any difference. Yeah I have to buy wheels and tires so I am going to really get it price wise. But would rather buy them all at once so I can put them on instead of just looking at them for months.
But thanks for the info yeah I will probably go with 225 now since it will look better.

The ride is pretty much the same. I have had 205/50/16, 205/40/17, and 215/45/17 tires. I would never again drive on 205/40/17 tires. They were really ruff because there is no cushion at all. But, the 205/50/16 and 215/45/17 ride like stock. I am sure 225/45/17 would even be better.
