New to rims and tires and I have some questions

Hey,

I am about to purchase a wheel/tire package online and I was wondering if it is necessary to buy the installation kit (lugs, locks and stems) if the tires already come mounted and balanced on the wheels. It would save me like 30-40 dollars.
Also, the website that I'm thinking about seems a little cheap and I was wondering if anyone here has ever dealt with the company before. http://www.performanceplustire.com/p...ges#prodAnchor
my car is a 2003 civic lx 2dr in red color if anyone had any suggestions on some nice affordable 15" wheels, that would be great also.
And lastly, what is the ideal tire size for 15. 195/60-15 will the tires look too big compared to the wheels?
Thanks in advance and please be honest and tell me if 15's will look retarded. I didn't want anything too big but i also didn't want retarded looking tiny ones, lol

well first of all you can never go wrong with stock size rims and stock size tires. you know they will fit and be proportioned good (like stock) only look way better.

just remember if you go with a bigger rim, make sure you get the right size tires on the rims to make the entire wheel size similar to stock.

as for the lugs/stems.... when they mount and balance for you, they HAVE to install stems (which they usually just add into the price) otherwise they cant inflate the tire. you dont have much of a choice paying for that. the only thing they can ask you to pay on the side, is for centering rings (which you need) and locking lug nuts, which are not only a good idea to deter theft, but you also NEED them because they are deeper nuts than your stock nuts.

pay for the rims, tires, valve stems, mount and balance.....then ask for centering rings and locking lugnuts. you absolutely need it all.

if youre american, discounttiredirect.com.

just dont go directly to the 'tire packages'. find a set of rims you like and then a set of tires you like with it. if you look, they have discounted stuff all over the website. if you get rims and tires, mount/balance is free. shipping is also free if youre in the states. they also have a 50$ rebate if you buy online. you can probably get a full package for like 550-650 to your door.
