help with rims

id appreciate if some1 could help me. right now im working with 18 inch rims on my 03 civic coupe and the tire size is 35. after about two years my rims are pretty banged up n im having alot of tire problems. I live in NYC n the streets are pretty bad out here. I know I should get smaller rims but I really dont want to. How much thicker could my tires get with 18 inch wheels on stock height. Could I do 45? 40? btw this is my first post so please excuse my lack of knowledge

Re: help with rims

18" wheels huh? you planning on going offroading?? cause bigger tires on a civic with 18's at stock height could potentially do some serious offroading XD

**** idk man i got my first civic a week ago. i know nothing about recommended tire sizes and all that.

BUT i can recommend getting some smaller rims and bigger tires if youre living in the city.

Re: help with rims

Honestly i wouldnt go with anything bigger than 17".. Then the tire size recommend is 215/40/17 with some BFgoodrich G-Force Sport Tires.. which is what im rocking and i love them
