Anyone on here use them? Im lookin to get them since my car is turbo and I was told it will help. What brand makes them and what are better then others? I have 17" rims, do they make them 2 fit 17's? And my friend can get the falcon drag/ street radials for a good price. But he does not know if they make them for 17s. And my last questions is, how wide should i get? i have 17x7. so 235? 245? Ill proably go with 40 or 45 cuz I still want it a little low pro, 45's would be better since Im gunna raise my car.. Thxx
well if you are to make these drags a wekend warrior, get a smaller rim, and get some BFG gforce drags. great stick! or you could get some Nitto drags. but from what my friend has on his Vortech SC 5.0, go with BFGoodrich! they have a 0 treadwear, but treadwear isnt a factor on drags....
what does 0 treadwear mean exactly. i kinda have an idea.. and i like my 17s i dont know if 15's would loook right on 7th gen
you gonna drive around on them as your daily tires? You'll eat them up quick that way. Why not just have a drag set for when you hit the drags?
nah man they make street radials. they not slicks. and i can get them for cheap. the falcon ones i can get for $55 a tire and i only need 2. but i dont think falcon makes them in 17s.
if your looking for a really sticky street tire in a 17" rim then look at the falken azenis rt615's or the toyo RA1's. treadwear is like 200 so they are stick but will still last. otherwise your looking for something like this that wont last for shizz

I agree with XSRCivic. Why would you want to use DRAG Radials as daily driven tires? Even with a turbo. If you want better traction just get some sticky tires and work on your suspension. How about getting a limited slip diff. There are several things you can do to get better traction. Ricing out your ride is not one of them. Just my 2cent.
I run a set of BFG g forces. Things hook real good. We've tryed a bunch of flavors and we keep coming back to em. I love em. I just grabbed a set of rotas for the front. You will find that every drag radial is totally horrible in the rain so you wont ever wanna run im on a daily driver. You wont find many in 16s that fit our cars, you may get em in 17s but the short sidewall usually makes for chatter or wheel hop and you cant drop the pressure as low before the contact patch cups in. 15s are mint I think mine are 225/50/R15. Bottom line is its kinda all or nothing with these to make it worth while. I drive with mine on the street even with the pressure down at times, it rides nice and still handles ok. I dont have PS and I can still parallel park em at 22-25psi. They will last about 5k miles if you absolutely baby them but if you dont heat em up they arent anywhere near as effective. They actually seem to hook better at about 60% treadlife more or less.
Falken is good. I run Nitto's Which In my opinion are indeed sticky to the MAX SON! Just kidding, Nitto is good too.

the treadwear is a life indicator from the manufacturer of the tires wear-resistancee. the higher the better. thge lower=more traction usually. but not in all cases. for certain setups, you have to look at what you are buying for! if you need slicks or soo, go with anything like 60-0 on the tread wear & a traction and temperature rating of AA. but go with BFG, imo... but if you get great deals on Hoosier, they have made great drags for longgg time for muscle cars.Originally Posted by DUDEitsMATTx

Discount Tire Direct. Falken 615s all day baby!
ive used BFG gforce drag radials as well. there dot3 and street legal but if you drive them around everyday they WEAR fast.
Very soft tread they work great, i mounted them on 15" alloys and used them at the track mostly. i think they were 225/50/15

the falkens are going to be your best bet on a street tire. they are sticky and have ok life. i swear by them. i dont even have the urge to try another tire i like them soo much. in fact its almost time for another set!!
The Falkens were more designed for the turning enthusiest rather then the drag enthusiest... so they have a very stiff sidewall to resist distortion under high cornering loads. Not really the best thing for drag, but the compound is sticky enough for people to use them for drag any way.
Other options would be the Kumho MX or the Hankook Ventus Z212, both of wich have had good success on track (autocross and open track).

i ran the Hankooks before. very nice tire, def sticky enough for a dd. If you're looking for a weekend drag set, just find some smaller rims and run em at the track. i don't think running drag radials on a dd is really worth it.
